Introduction I live in Silicon Valley and work at Oracle as the Chief Open Source Evangelist and SOA Evangelist focusing on the areas of middleware and tools. Before joining Oracle I was the CEO of Orbeon where my focus was on helping enterprises solve business problems by providing services/solutions that maximize the benefits of open source. I've had the pleasure of working with some great folks at Symantec, Oracle, WebGain and Orbeon. I was an active member of the Java Community Process (JCP) Executive Committee as well as an expert on JSRs. Before crossing the Atlantic I held research and teaching positions at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, specializing in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Object Oriented Programming (OOP). I got my M.S. in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from Polytech Montpellier, France. I’ve always been intrigued by the open source phenomenon. Now that Open Source has crossed the chasm, what’s next? What forms of innovation will sustain the open source momentum? I am planning to spend the next few years of my career attempting to answer these questions. My profile is available on LinkedIn
