Introduction As a California girl, I bought snow boots to attended Brigham Young University because I had no idea what a plow was. (I thought I'd be cutting my own path.) After I started teaching eighth graders science, my husband and I found ourselves without kids for years. I was so worried I'd never be a mom that I took a writing class to "find something to do." Proving its sense of humor, life sent me five children over the next eight years. I kept writing because my writing group doled out hilarious commentary on our favorite TV shoes. Now I've signed with a literary agent and haunt twitter. :)
Interests Young adult contemporary books (mine are my favorites), children with crocodile tears, dinners that aren't burned or rushed--basically all the ones not made by me. This website is about my family and dedicated to the grandmas who need frequent updates.
Favorite Books First Circle (by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn), Anne of Green Gables, The Black Banners (by Ali Soufan), Nancy Drew, Harry Potter, The Brothers Karamazov, everything by John Steinbeck or Leo Tolstoy, Babysitter's Club books, D-Day (by Stephen Ambrose), and anything YA that shows up in my house.
