About me

Gender Male
Occupation Senior Fellow, University of Queensland
Location Brisbane, Queensland, Australia
Introduction I am an academic at the University of Queensland. I have been involved in research on mining and the resource sector for the past 12 years. My research traverses the policy, social and earth sciences, with a particular focus on the socio-environmental change that accompanies the extraction of natural resources. I am originally trained as an environmental geologist but I also have an interest and qualifications in politics and social science. My work aims to help build the capacity of government, industry and community stakeholders to bring about practical change to policies, systems and processes in order to meet the challenges resource extraction poses to sustainable and equitable development.
