| Introduction | I am a reporter who has worked in television production and in various print publications, most recently as an intern covering the Illinois State Legislature for the magazine "Illinois Issues." In May 2009, I earned an MA in Public Affairs Reporting. Since, I have been forced to put my career on hold because I have Migraines and I live in an almost constant state of pain. and have, in varying degrees, for the past 17 years. A few times a month, I may get a break - rare days when I feel pain free. I tried what seems to be everything in the U.S. to solve my medical nightmare, and in my desperation I turned to Germany to find a solution. It was an unsuccessful experience. So I continue to look for other treatments until I am cured, until I am finally free, because I know this is a fight I can win. This is a blog about where I've been and I hope...where I'll end up. |
