About Me

It's great to be back in a city I truly love, Buffalo! I worked in radio & TV in Rochester for the past 18 years, but actually began my career here. I attended THE Buffalo State College & was a newscaster at WBEN & WJJL in Niagara Falls where I also hosted a daily talk show. My passions are history, my family, and my work so that’s mostly what I’ll be blogging about. I feel there’s no better way of knowing an area than through its history. An historical perspective, I believe, is the best way to see how things came to be, and why they are the way they are now. (And WHY is the best question they never teach you in reporter school!) I love best being a husband & father. I am wed to an exceptional woman, Jillayne, & we have two small boys, Royce & Rhett. My wife often refers to herself as my "mistress", because she believes I'm married to my job! (She is to some extent right as is most often the case!) I enjoy telling stories of the people I meet and when time on TV won’t permit me to tell all I’d like to, you’ll read more about them here. One thing I’ve always found true: The best part about this job is you learn something new every day.
