About Me

We are Mike and Deb Gilbert…married a trillion years, raised five wonderfully creative, intelligent, compassionate, aware kids (somehow!) Love spending time with friends and family, cooking, talking, reading, teaching, writing, absorbing, hanging out at bookstores, sitting on the beach, …and when we can do all of these things at the same time, it’s amazing!We are now living in Uganda and while we miss our friends, family, hanging out at bookstores and sitting on the beach, we love that God has brought us to this beautiful country where there is much work to be done.

This blog is really Mike's and mine, in case you can't tell from the photos...and writing...and profile! Some days I might even hand the keyboard over to him!
