Introduction My sewing career began on the floor of my Grandmother's home collecting the fabric scraps she discarded to make new clothes for my dolls with pinking shears (she didn't think I could hurt myself with those) and a needle and thread. My real job was threading her machine needle as my eyes were "younger." I didn't grasp that concept then, but sure do now. My interest in heirloom sewing began 2 years ago with the wonderful book Fine Machine Sewing by Carol Laflin Ahles. From there I began sewing for the Memphis Woman's Exchange and my love for classic, Southern Children's Clothing grows with each garment I produce. Thank you and welcome to my blog. I hope that you enjoy your visit. I only wish I had a porch where we could sit and visit.
