About Me
I grew up in Clinton, IL, a small farming community located in central Illinois. My memories of Clinton date to the later part of the 60’s through 1979. With most businesses being locally owned and operated, people did business with people. We had our corner drug store complete with soda fountain, clothing stores, Ben Franklin, two banks, record shop, theater, coffee shop, tavern, and more, all with-in a ten to fifteen minute walk for any teenager.
Wearing suits, traveling, initiating business deals with large companies, was a “dream come true”, and the wrong dream. The more I accomplished, the more I longed to bail hay, walk bean fields, or shovel snow for the elderly. Since 1986, I have been making a difference in the lives of independent family businesses. Changing or tweaking your dreams is part of the process.
