The first time you had your shoes taken off - how surprised were you to see that you still had toes?
Following my first marathon, I put one hand on my wife’s shoulder and with the other I pulled off my shoe. As I removed my sock I said, “Here goes, I wonder how bad this is going to be......” Surprisingly, they felt much worse than they looked!
