Introduction A lifelong angler who really is happy just being out on the river. Brian has twenty seven years of fly fishing experience and has been a guide for the past eighteen years. With over twenty years in the fly biz, he has contributed to rod and line design, worked in fly shops, as a commercial fly tier, guide and instructor of casting, fly fishing and fly tying courses. Brian is certified as a Master Casting Instructor and Two Handed Casting Instructor with the Federation of Fly Fishers. He is especially sought after as a speycasting instructor and has been a featured demonstrator at a variety of claves, outdoor shows and expos throughout North America. Brian teaches destination spey schools on some of BC's finest Salmon and Steelhead rivers and is featured as a guest spey instructor at Alaska West wilderness lodge during King Salmon season. He has appeared on variety of fishing shows and is the resident prostaff spey expert on flybc.ca. A strong advocate of habitat restoration to support wild fish stocks, Niska is dedicated to the preservation of wild fish and the pristine waters essential to their survival.
