Paul Sample, 45, is the Salisbury District Councillor for St Edmund & Milford Ward. A former Editor of Liberal News, Paul is former Leader of the Liberal Democrat Group on Wiltshire County Council. Paul Sample joined the Liberal Party in Salisbury in 1977. He stood for the Party in the constituency at the 1992 Election, recording one of the best swings towards his Party in the whole of the South West. Paul is a Wiltshireman born and bred. He was educated at state schools in the County and attended Bishop Wordsworth's School. He graduated with a BSc(Hons) degree in Social Sciences from The City University in 1983. He married Catherine at St Thomas's Church, Salisbury, in 1985. The couple have two children, both of whom go to local state schools. He is a Company Director and consultant, specialising in public relations and marketing. He is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relation, the Institute of Directors and is on the National Businesslink Consultants Register.
