| Introduction | I am a wife and mother living in the Midwest. We recently moved to a home on 40 acres. We bought the “farm” from my parents. They have really worked hard to make the place beautiful. At one time they had cows, chickens, and goats, but over the years have slowed down and gotten rid of the farm animals. We love living in the country and plan to garden, raise chickens and become more self sufficient. I would not say we are dyed in the wool homesteaders, but we would love to work towards some of those ideals. We have family near by and I love to entertain. I want my house to be warm, inviting and comfortable to family and guests alike. I like the whole idea of Wabi-Sabi, the simple, imperfect, well-worn comfortable feel of natural elements incorporated in soft design. |
