About Me

Lauderdale; Founding Director of middle school programs for the Early Learning Institute, a multi-campus Montessori organization based in Palo Alto; Founding Director of Moreno Valley High School, a Paideia charter school in Angel Fire, NM. Author of "The Habit of Thought: From Socratic Seminars to Socratic Practice," (see amazon.com). Currently completing "Whole Lives: The Creation of Conscious Culture Through Educational Innovation" and "The FLOW Manifesto" (the latter is being co-authored with John Mackey, founder and CEO of Whole Foods Market and co-founder of FLOW. Educated at Harvard; St. John's College, Santa Fe, and the U. of Chicago. I went to Chicago to prove the Chicago economists wrong. After discovering that they were not wrong, I began a dissertation under Nobel laureate Gary Becker on "Ideas and Culture as Human Capital." I have since become more interested in Hayek than in Chicago econ due to an interest in creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
