| Introduction | maryann4art@hotmail.com As of 03-April-2012, my work has been described as "Psychedelic Visions". I will now use this for my kind of designing repeat patterns in Surface Design. The use of bright colors, gold & silver are a huge part of my pattern designs. All I can say is I like that description... I have been creating art for as long as I can remember. Attend KU & Kansas City Art Inst. where I met Jason Pollen, who is now chair of the Fiber Dept at KCAI. I have been a member off and on of the Surface Design Assoc. going back to the 1980's. I started out with just a pane of a few water colors, then moved on to fabric. I sew, weave, design and create large scale multi media works of art. I have several of those large scale works with surrounding Kansas City areas in homes and business. Currently I'm the Surface Design Assoc. Missouri Rep. with over 160 members. We all make up a small part of an International Surface Design Team. |
