| Introduction | Patrick Hudson was born in Croydon, England to New Zealand parents and spent his first - and formative - years growing up in Surrey. He went to live in New Zealand when he was eight year's old and never really felt he fit in. In his 20s, he returned to the UK, only to discover he didn't really fit there either. A dedicated contrarian, forever at odds with everyone and everything, he has since devoted himself to writing books and stories that only a few people seem that interested in.
