| Favorite Books | Where to start? I am researching the Royal Navy during the time of the Napoleanic wars--hence some fave movies above--so anything Lord Nelson and Nelson's Navy-I'm all over it, Historical references of that time period, Jane Austen, been keeping away from Patrick O'Brian since I am writing sort of in the same genre and don't wish to be 1) unconsciously influenced and 2) feel like giving it up to the master, Lots and lots of the old Regency romances--along the Georgette Heyer line, Of course the Horatio Hornblower series, (again will be adding to this list as more come to mind--I feel like I'm the recipient of a pop-quiz filling in these blanks). |
