Introduction	There are a few places in the world I've returned to time and time again because of the beauty that I've found there, Hawaii, Canada, Washington and Oregon in particular. I enjoy seeing the world. I hope to see more of it still, but I'm always ready to get back to Texas. Texas is, as we say down here, "a whole nother country." And it is not just a play on words. Texas was a sovereign nation which later chose to become the 28th State of the United States of America in 1845. The word "Texas" comes from a Caddo Indian word meaning friends and its an appropriate name for the native people of Texas. Whether you find them on its vast prairies, its grasslands, its forests, its coastline, its deserts, its swampland or its mountains, Texans are friendly and outgoing, brash and bold and plain spoken. I hope as a gay or bisexual married man, you find some value in this blog. I don't claim to have all the answers. But my goal is to write openly about the difficult choices we each face. I hope this blog helps you to understand your choices and make the difficult decisions that are best for you and those you love. I'd be happy to hear from you any time.
