| Introduction | From a life in business to leisure painting (watercolours mostly) to chairmanship of the Watercolour Society of South Africa and thence to keeping sketchbooks and art journals. I am an Associate of the Watercolour Society and a very keen sketcher. Russell and I travel so much that the only mobile studio possible is a beloved sketchbook/art journal (sometimes two or more) and some pens, pan watercolours and aquabrushes. Our bases are Simon's Town and the Lowveld (White River, Mpumalanga). We love to travel all over our lovely country, and as of 2011 I have been recording the things we do, see and experience in my sketchbooks. This has also evolved into interpreting some of the history we learn into writings and imagined images. Enjoy my wanderings both in mind and in body! |
