| Introduction | I was born and raised within the 5 boroughs of NYC and Newark, NJ. I have been writing since I was about 9 years old. It's all I've ever really been good at. I have been hoarding my poetry from 1994 until the present time, when I have finally decided to publish my own book and to share my world. From the Heart of a Down Chick is my first book, with many more sure to come. I am a married mother of one. My company, Lyrical Paige, Inc., which is still in the beginning stages, is named after my daughter, Karen Lyric Paige. I have all the support I need in my family, friends, co-workers and publishing company. From the Heart of a Down Chick was my outlet. I hope and pray that everyone walks away from this book having learned something new. |
