Introduction	João Paulo Machado is a Brazilian composer/violinist and he started his musical studies on the violin when he was 12 years old with the distinguished professor Juan Sarudiansky in a project for children and teenagers with musical talent. Some years after that he was accepted as a student at the Escola de Musica de Brasilia. In 2005 He took his degree in violin performance at the Universidade de Brasilia. During his violin course at the University of Brasilia, he started to pay attention in composition while he was studying form and analysis, harmony and theory. As a composer João Machado wrote transcriptions, arrangements, string quintets, piano pieces, and other kinds of chamber music. João also wrote the song track for the movie "A Ultima Chuva" (The Last Rain). This project was sponsored by the Mato Grosso State Government. Joao Paulo has a master degree in violin performance for the University of Wyomingwhere he studied with Dr. John Fadial. Currently, Joao Paulo Machado is a doctoral student and a teaching assistant at the University of Northern Colorado under the orientation of the renewed teacher and performer Richard Fuchs.
