Occupation Cook/Food Writer
Location Rome, Lazio, Italy
Introduction I studied Art History and Medieval and Renaissance Studies at NYU with the intention of going into restoration. But upon graduation, I decided to pursue a career that would allow me to use my own hands, instead of staring at the results of the handiwork of someone else. So, I followed my passion for cooking and attended the Chef Career Program at Peter Kump's New York Cooking School in Manhattan. This took me on a trail that lead me to several stints in restaurant and catering kitchens in NYC, opportunities to work in the magazine business as an assistant food stylist and recipe developer, and to teach various kinds of cooking techniques in recreational culinary programs. I also suffer from wanderlust, and I've been blessed with many years of travel and living abroad. Life is unpredictable, but good.
