Introduction Hi my name is Charlotte I am a PhD student from the University of Huddersfield. The focus of my research is young people's digital literacy skills education. Using a collaborative participatory methodology with young people I hope to provide a platform for young people's voice regarding their education, aiming to discover what it is they want from their digital education and how they feel it should be delivered. Diagnosed with dyslexia at age 5 I was told by many teachers throughout my schooling that I would never achieve academically and to give up.. but I never did! Since then I have gone on to graduate with a first class hons from the University of Central Lancashire in 2012 and worked for over a decade in the youth sector on participatory and engagement projects. I aim to use this blog as a platform to share my PhD journey, as a dyslexic academic.
