| Introduction | I am a socio-legal researcher with interests in human rights law in the sphere of community care. Special focus on issues around legal capacity. I recently submitted my doctorate in law ('The Mental Capacity Act 2005 and the Institutional Domination of People with Learning Disabilities'), and I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Centre for Disability Law and Policy, NUI Galway, Ireland. Before starting my doctorate in law, I worked in a variety of different mental health and social care settings. You can read more about my research on my university profile here: http://eprofile.exeter.ac.uk/lucyseries Image is from Eric Lin on Flickr.
