About Me

I’ve been in the horse world throughout my life, having done everything from grooming trotters, galloping racehorses, exercising polo ponies and assisting veterinarians at tracks up and down the East Coast, to attending Morvan Park Equestrian Institute in Leesburg, Virginia. Moving to Chicago in 1978, I spent the next 17 years in the advertising industry before moving to Vermont, a dream come true, which is where I developed a creative writing service targeted to the equine industry that has enabled me to incorporate my passion for horses with my work. A student of dressage along with my beloved TB, Jenkins Covington, known to his friends as Bean, I’ve also realized another dream come true: to become a foster/lay-up care provider for OTTBs through the Communication Alliance to Network Thoroughbred Ex-Racehorses (CANTER New England). Having successfully rehabilitated all the horses that have been in my care, they’re now happily munching hay at their new homes. Currently, I’m mom to Coco, a very special Chestnut six-year-old gelding with a fractured sesamoid, and am expecting another horse soon.
