| Introduction | Born ‘upside down’ in California, I’ve been ‘round n ‘round ever since. I lived in the same house until I got married and moved for one year to Denver. Glendale area was home until 1983 when my two terrific sons and I left the unhappy memories of a failed marriage and drove across country to Tennessee. New friends and experiences: horses, fireflies, dogwoods, redbuds, rivers, and county fairs. A new job took me here and there: Massachusetts, New Jersey, Maine, Connecticut: New England! Trails, leaves, water, birds, and SNOW! And a marriage to a wonderful man who, at 48, had never been married! We still struggle but it is a worthwhile challenge. Dallas was home for 5 years, miles from my children when my first grandchild was born: a charmer, an imp, adorably smart he is. All of those other places, other spaces, new faces providing a never ending source of exciting views of the world. Now we are in Virginia, near the Nation’s Capital which provides a litany of thought-provoking views and news. Life is amazing, isn’t it? |
