Introduction I'm fortunate enough to be married to Mr. Right. We've been riding the waves up, down & sideways for 35+ years. Somewhere in there something stuck; surprising given that a few of those waves were seismic. We had 3 amazing babies that grew (who knew?) into unique & amazing adults. Each is so different from his/her siblings that the most frequent question I'm asked about my kids is "how hard was it to adopt?". Pretty funny. Sure, you can call me Grandma-x2. The grandkids are, of course, perfect. Period. Enough about me. Lets talk about YOU.
Interests Figuring out Why., Why not?, What is Why?, Where did my Why go & when is it coming back?, Why the Hell did you smack me with this NOW?..., Questions--questions!
Favorite Movies Recent stuff? The last thing I saw in a theater was Indiana Jones & the Crystal Skull. I figured my cheerful compliance in watching same would encourage Mr. Right to indulge me with company at Mama Mia. So far-no luck there despite his declared love for musicals., Venturing into my personal Best Film Vault:, Tombstone, Deja Vu, The Final Cut, Omagh, A Simple Plan, The Great New Wonderful, Give it To Him, The Music of Chance, The Grapes of Wrath, Of Mice & Men, Anne of the Thousand Days, Elizabeth, &, Elizabeth:the Golden Age (Cate Blanchett IS Elizabeth!), Elizabeth I, &, The Queen (Helen Mirren is amazing, but I think SHE is HRH E.II. EI belongs to Cate), The Apostle (arguably Robert Duvall's best work), The Five People You Meet In Heaven, The Magdalene Sisters, The Purple Rose Of Cairo, Radio Days, Chicago, Glory, Gods & Generals, Gettysburg, Big Fish, Valerie Flake, Mona Lisa Smile, The Bird Cage, One True Thing, I'm Not Rappaport, We Were Soldiers, Apocalypse Now, Full Metal Jacket, Apollo 13, On The Beach, The Dust Factory, Hundreds more. The pursuit of cinematherapy can be life saving. On the other hand, it just might be a pond of quicksand., The jury is deliberating...
Favorite Music You play it, I'll love it., I'll doubtlessly start dancing., If THAT sight leads you to suggest a movie I won't be offended.
Favorite Books Too many to be specific. I think that my love of reading is returning--probably a good sign., In general I go for non-fiction; mostly biography & history but I venture elsewhere when the urge strikes., What sits on my desk always:, "On Bullshit"-Harry Frankfurt-2005 (a gift from my daughter...Ha!), &, "The Book of Life" Volume 5 (of 7)-Robert Collier-1925. I found this in an antique shop in Jamestown Ca., It was calling to me., It was also the only only thing in the place I could afford., Obviously it was meant to be., So many things change so little over time-like human nature and the state of my wallet., Oh yeah--the book., If you want to be my 2nd best friend you could spring for the entire 1925 autographed edition set.

Whoops! Your tongue is now a magnet. Whatever will you use for silverware?

Silverware? Whatever might that be?
