About Me

I worked as a strategic marketing manager in several mobile-technology start-ups in the United States (in California). In 2003 , my wife and I moved to China for her work. That was not a big change for us, as we both speak Chinese and have lived in China before. The big change happened in 2005 when Akiva Mic Covner was born, and in 2007, when Kenaz Jiu Covner came along. Currently I am a management consultant in the industrial city of Suzhou (in Jiangsu Province...near Shanghai). My work is really simple and easy; I help companies change their corporate culture, create rational strategy, and increase their inter-departmental communication. My favorite prayer: "In each generation each Jew must look upon himself or herself as though he or she, personally, was among those who went forth from Egypt. Not our ancestors alone did the Holy One, blessed be He, redeem from suffering, but also us and our families. Each generation is duty bound to contribute to the growth of freedom, else humanity's ideals become stagnant and stationary."
