Introduction After 10 plus years in the illustration business (studio and freelance) I began to teach due to my health issues. That was in 1984 or 85. Personally, I approach teaching as a constantly growing, evolving entity. Why? Simply put, I want the class content to meet the needs of the students, meet my needs, adjust with changing times and to constantly delve deeper into the subject matter to discover unseen facts, ideas, theories and approaches. Also, frankly, I want to be able to include aspects I was unaware of before and incorporate new knowledge as I acquire it. This may lend a historical quality too, as I am less interested in following fads or new approaches just because they are new and fresh. I can't deal with that sort of shallow and superficial approach to learning and teaching. If it is so easy then maybe it isn't of any significance. Each fad or new idea must be evaluated and stand the test of its worth. I guess thats about it for now.
Interests learning about picture making and techniques form the past masters, ancient artifacts, reading, making art
Favorite Music Jazz, classical, new age and classic rock-n-roll
Favorite Books well beside the historical art books I read Patrica Cornwell novels about Kay Scarpetta.
