| Introduction | If you can't laugh at the irony that surrounds us in everyday life, you are brain dead. I work hard and play hard because tomorrow is just a pipe dream until we get there. I am a staunch Conservative but am opposed to having my views pushed on anyone against their will - I demand the same in return. I am opinionated and stubborn. If you don't want the truth or my true thoughts, you had better not ask the question. Growing up in the great Northwoods of Wisconsin and Michigan taught me to appreciate the simple beauty of untouched nature. I love the Great Lakes and think they are one of the greatest assets we have. I love sailing. I enjoy contemplating things that are greater than I. Understanding of the world starts with an understanding of one's self and those that precede you. Ancient culture is fascinating to me. I love reading about the civilizations of the Mayans, Aztecs, Chinese dynasties, Russian Tzars, Vikings, etc. Oddly, I also like exploring the hidden past of our own culture (ie Under the Metropolis) and abandoned sites. Give me a good cold beer with a loud stereo playing Dave Matthews Band or some great jazz and I will be happy for days. |
