About Me
It was always hard for me to deal with change. I grew up in Ohio and went to college and graduate school there. After grad school I packed up my little blue car and drove out to Arizona. During the three-day trip I learned how to check myself into a hotel, began growing out my bangs, and learned something about how to let things change. I fell in love with the desert within weeks, working out in the July heat with the archaeologists I was becoming friends with - some of the best people I've ever met. I found a place to live - and then another - and another. I found a bank; I found independence; I learned how to light a grill; I learned how to go to movies by myself; and I found love. At every turn, I found something different than what I knew. I found that I could welcome change and that it could make me a better person if I could learn to accept it. After all, everything will be made different in its time.

- cooking
- and/or all of those things at once. The good parts of archaeology. People and culture. Traveling. But I don't get to do that much anymore. Because I'm an archaeologist.
