About me

Location Midwest, along the Mississippi, United States
Introduction Come join our noisy, busy household for awhile. You will be embraced by the sounds of five children who are usually close at hand, speaking either French or English or both at the same time. The wafts of goodness coming from the kitchen will be of cooking or baking something delicious. Watch out, you may leave with bits of glitter, duct tape or yarn stuck to you as someone is always knitting or crafting something. Welcome.
Interests We learn together, my five children; Lily, 14, Aragorn, 12, Alienor, 9, Arthur, 6, Puck, 3, and my husband, Pierre, on the banks of the Mississippi River. Our homeschool style is Waldorf-based. We spend lots of time: outdoors, sailing, taking walks in the woods, camping, and inside: cooking, baking, playing guitar and piano, making art, theatre, painting, Girl Scouts, cartooning and playing with our pets; one cockatiel and a dog. I hope to grow up to be Tasha Tudor, tucked into an 18th century farmhouse, creating and growing things and pretending we are not really in the 21st century, except maybe for my laptop!
Favorite Books All of Shakespeare, Little Women, The Mists of Avalon, Tasha Tudor's many books, A Swiftly Tilting Planet, Swallows and Amazons, Have Fun, Learn Stuff, Grow, Sense and Sensibility, Bleak House, Dumbing us Down, Walden, Love Walks In, Dune, The Lord of the Rings

You're in the grocery store with a broken cart. How will you ever be that hungry?

I'm in the chocolate aisle, I'll figure it out.
