Denishia Martin
About Me
I’m Denishia Martin. Like most of you, I'm one busy person! Instructor/teacher is one of my many titles in life. I teach for Kentucky Virtual High School, Western Kentucky University and Warren East High School. I teach English for all and Arts & Humanities for Warren East High. Another title I love is Mom. I have 2 sons, James and John; they are computer animators. You can see them at their company website www.reallusion.com. I’m engaged and plan to marry the most wonderful man in the world. I’m the Advisor of the Future Educators of America at Warren East High School and serve on the Site Based Council there. I also serve as the Chair of the Kentucky Textbook Commission. My most exciting accomplishment this year is being accepted for a Fellowship at the National Gallery of Art where I will study the "Golden Age of the Dutch Masters." I know I will love being involved in such an interesting learning opportunity. I received this news in May 2008 just before I received notification that I have been nominated for the Kentucky 2009 Teacher of the Year! Now, that was totally exciting!!!
