| Introduction | Dr. Nidhi Mishra is the Founder of Senior Express (www.seniorexpress.in). An online platform where anyone can share and discuss, ideas and topics related to healthy, productive and active ageing. She has done her Ph.D. in the area of Psycho-Social Gerontology and has worked in national and international research projects on various social issues. In addition to this,she has been a visiting faculty at TISS and NMIMS, Mumbai. She has represented India in the United Nations International Programme in Policy Formulation, Planning, Implementation and Monitoring of the Madrid International Plan of Action on Ageing at Malta in 2013. She has extensive experience of working in social sector where she was mainly involved in designing action based projects for the welfare of elderly, providing need based services to elderly, advocacy of ageing issues and promotion of positive ageing. In her last assignment, she was working as a Consultant at Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, India for the United Nations Population Fund’s (UNFPA) Ageing project in India. She is a member of Association of Gerontology (India) and Indian Association for Social Sciences and Health. |
