| Introduction | I am a 40- something year old woman living well with Rheumatoid Arthritis. I was diagnosed at the age of thirteen. After six joint replacements and a daily ritual of various medicines, I am dancing to life. This blog was created to provide Hope and as a vehicle for expression of living daily with arthritic limitations. Why did I name my blog "Life with Arthur"? Arthur is the name I gave my arthritis when I was a child. I needed to make it a separate being that in my mind was attacking my body. I have been married twenty-three years to my childhood sweetheart and have a beautiful college-aged daughter. Together we have fought and will continue to fight against Arthur. After all..... “I could have missed the pain, but then, I would have missed…...the dance.” Life is dance, we must keep grooving to! |
