I'm a kid at heart. If you saw my kayak you might think I'm a risk taker addicted to the rush. I'll buy another motorcycle as soon as my wife lets me. I taught my son to cook by accident and not design. He just watched through all the formative years when I was Mr. Mom.

- I prefer paddling in rough waters. My best paddles are like roller coaster rides

- the more knocking about the better. Flat paddles are fine when you need to recover. Rock gardening has reshaped my kayaks hull. I'm a former skiing instructor. Still love the steeps
- but I've a bad knee
- so my best mogul days are all in my mind
- where the moguls get bigger and bigger and the steeps steeper and steeper.

- I'm listening to Johnny Cash as I write. Had blues on earlier and listen to classical music every day. Developing a strong attachment to my son's cast off ipod.
