About me

Location East Bay, California, United States
Introduction I am Jeanette, a 20 year old student at UC Berkeley...and I may spend more time picking up stitches than I do picking up my books. Though I tend to knit in fits and starts, I turn to knitting for its meditative qualities. Like any knitter, I also love the challenges that design and learning new techniques pose for me--oh, and I love nothing more than the feeling I get when I finally hold my beautiful finished object. I owe my interest in knitting to my very talented grandmother, Marian. She taught me to knit nearly ten years ago...but it was hardly love at first stitch. I knit off and on (very poorly, I must admit) until about two years ago, when I started getting more interested in improving my technique, learning new stitches, knitting things other than squares... It's really only been a year that I've been getting more seriously into knitting. I've got a lot to learn still, but I look forward to improving and tackling new projects.
