Introduction Alexis holds a Communication Studies/Global Studies, B.A. from Marist College, (Poughkeepsie, NY) and an Master's of Science Degree in Intercultural Communication from Illinois State University (Normal, IL). She has studied at the University of Westminster in London, England and has taught Interpersonal Conflict and Negotiation in various universities throughout the United Kingdom. She is a certified Justice Court Mediator. In 2008, she interned with a European Public Affairs firm, in Brussels, Belgium, where she worked within the European Parliament and in the private business sector conducting Intercultural Facilitation training and Consensus Building sessions. She is a consultant for several university study abroad programs and lectures on culture shock preparedness. She is in the fourth year of her doctoral program as ASU and divides her time between Phoenix, Europe, and where her family lives in Hawaii.
