| Introduction | I first started making models when I was a little girl- bored, on long car journeys to Newcastle to visit my grandparents. My Dad used to buy us Opal Fruits (Starburst)for the journey, which I wasn't mad about, I would always make little models of food items out of them before I ate them. It was a limited palette and left me with sticky fingers, but I think it was the start of something! When I was about 7 or 8 Fimo and Prima was first introduced to the UK and I started being given sets for Christmas. I took to it in a big way and would make all manner of little characters out of it- more often than not ladies with large breasts...not sure why...?! I studied BA Illustration at Loughborough Uni and came back to Fimo, using it to make 3D illustrations. I'm hoping to achieve the dream, or at least a small part of it- having my illustrations published & selling my craft work. |
