I prefer silence to most music written since 1979. But when in the mood I like funk and groove. However; I believe I have discovered the definitive moment in Rock and Roll. Three minutes and two seconds (give or take) into "Gimme Shelter" by the Rolling Stones. It lasts for but a fraction of a second but you'll hear it
if you have any "soul".
