About Me
In my writing, I am focusing on the bottleneck that our society faces in the coming century: a peak in energy and food production, climate change, and a growing recognition that our environment is becoming more toxic to both human and nonhuman life. I approach this from the perspective of a student of modern public policy (my professional training), and also as a designer of solid wood furniture pieces intended to last for generations (my vocation). In terms of larger public policy issues, energy and resource constraints may create a return to quality -- and a return to products made in the USA that aren't shipped halfways across the world.
