Introduction I am a transplant that grew up in Maryland, then served in the USNavy for six years, and now after 15 years, I'm slowly but surely becoming acclimated to the South! I love my God, my family, my church, and my country. So far in this last year my grandson, who I love to blog about, turned two; my daughter and her hubby little girl turned one; and the baby of the group just turned six month's old! My husband & I continue to live in our RV as part of our ministry plan, in the most beautiful, heaven-on-earth setting! In addition, we are Service Corp Missionaries for the North American Mission Board and serving as church strengtheners to Cornerstone Baptist Church in Fayetteville, TN. My husband retires in *gulp* April and we are moving into ministry FULL TIME! God is doing great and wonderful things. Quilting has become a passion for me since I started in 2006; I am enjoying exploring all the possibilities quilting presents! :)
Interests God, studying His Word, teaching, Sunday School, choir, singing, drama, being the wife and mom God would have me to be. I adore tea parties and all things tea. I also love to read. Historical fiction, mystery, sci-fi, biographies -- I love to read it all! I've recently added quilting to my already stretched-at-the-seams interests. As my husband says, I have the incurable quilting virus! I also love to craft, sew, cook and bake. When we made the move to the RV, I learned to live far more simply and without a lot of the trappings of stuff -- but these lessons are on-going!
Favorite Movies Princess Bride, LOTR, Much Ado About Nothing, Three Musketeers, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Star War (I-VI), 13 Going on 30, almost everything Christmas! :)
Favorite Music Praise & worship; contemporary Christian! Classical music. Really, my tastes in music (just like my tastes in everything else) are very diverse and eclectic.
Favorite Books The Bible, Little Women, The Joy of Cooking, The Princess Bride, My Utmost for His Highest, Tale of Two Cities, The Guardian, The Warning, The Ultimatum, The Mitford Series, anything by Brock & Bodie Thoene. Good gravy, I can't list it all here!
