| Introduction | As an event planner it has been my pleasure to work with some of the country's best caterers and chefs on behalf of my clients, few of whom know that cooking is my one and true passion. Both my grandmothers were professional cooks, and my own mother an accomplished cook and baker in her own right, the joy of cooking has always run through my veins. I have spent many a wonderful day in the kitchen with my mother, whose old-world recipes complement and combine nicely with the nouvelle cuisine we all now enjoy. My childhood revolved around regular (noisy!) gatherings where the food was the center of attention. Dishes flew out of the kitchen, and the sounds of merriment and camaraderie filled the air. It was in this carnival atmosphere that my love for cooking and entertaining, and my guests' enjoyment of the food, nurtured and grew. Along the way, I have collected many recipes representing different cuisines and regional styles of cooking my friends and family now enjoy.
