One random search said maybe 3 per lifetime. Another source, who actually did a study on this (http://www.washington.edu/burkemuseum/spidermyth/myths/whileyousleep.html) said that swallowing spiders in one's sleep is all an URBAN LEGEND. I am sure glad to hear that!
