| Introduction | I was introduced to the world of bars and restaurants at a very young age. I gained a passion for the art of the mixed drink and everything cocktailian while I was at college studying photography, by tending bar to help pay for paper, film and expensive equipment. I have now been involved with the London cocktail scene for over 15 years, working and running bars at The Rock Garden in Covent Garden, Oliver Peyton’s Atlantic Bar & Grill, 10 Room in Piccadilly, Lab Bar (London Academy of Bartending), Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen, Salvador & Amanda in Leicester Square and the Lonsdale Bar in Notting Hill. Over the course of my career I have won a bunch of cocktail competitions and have been awarded UK bartender of the year three times. In 2004 I formed The Worldwide Cocktail Club with Henry Besant and together we have consulted and overseen the beverage program for the legendary Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, Amy Saco’s Bungalow 8, Alfred Dunhill’s private members bar in Mayfair, All Star Lanes American bowling bar and Circus in Covent Garden. |
