About Me

In 2005, I became the Executive Director of the Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority (NVRPA). Prior to that, I was the President of the Northern Virginia Conservation Trust. The Trust is a non-profit land conservation organization. NVRPA is a regional park system made up of three Counties and three Cities in Northern Virginia (Arlington, Fairfax and Loudoun Counties, and the Cities of Alexandria, Fairfax and Falls Church). NVRPA operates 21 park and owns over 10,000 acres. My family moved to Fairfax County when I was 1, so I am close to a native. I have a bachlors degree from St. Andrews College in N.C. in Political Science, and a masters degree from George Mason University in Public Policy/Conflict Resolution (an interdisciplinary degree). I have also complete several executive education courses at the Wharton School of Business at UPA. When I have spare time, one of my favorte things to do is to go out in my kayak for a few hours on the lower Potomac or Occoquan reservoir.
