Ok, so you got the name. Now let me tell you about my daily gig, a bit about my family and the reason I've joined the world of blogging. I'm one of two metro columnists for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. I’ve spent the past 49 years of my life in St. Louis, "Da Lou," Nelly's hometown. My metro column primarily focuses on regional events, issues, politics and people. This blog gives me the opportunity to question, weigh in, dissect, discuss, and share national issues that may interest, frighten, concern or anger us. Prior to my position with the Post, my wife, Victoria, and I published an award-winning alternative publication "Take Five Magazine" for 15 years. I am the father of four (ages 5-27) and the (gulp) grandfather of two.
