| Introduction | Hi! I'm Grandma Rachel, owner of Grandma's Attic Quilt Shop in Dallas, Oregon. I opened the shop over 20 years ago and added a webstore in 1997. Our website is located at http://www.grandmasatticquilting.com. I'm married to the best guy in the whole world named Stephen. He's currently working as an Electronics Professor. We live on a very small farm. Stephen and I have five adult children: one son and four daughters, plus a myriad of pets and other animals, including nine cats, three cockateils, and over a dozen chickens! In addition to working at the quilt shop, I am a Quilt Historian and lecture on topics related to the history of women in America and the needle arts. My favorite quilts are from the 19th Century era. I also like 1930s quilt patterns and fabrics. Writing, researching, quilting, and Redwork embroidery are activities that I enjoy. |
