| Introduction | My interest in oil painting all started as I watched my mother paint. Mom had artists come to the house and a forest of easels would appear. The aroma of oil paint would permeate the air. Talking and laughter would go on throughout the day. My Father crafted beautiful frames for Mom's paintings. I accompanied Mom to art shows. I learned to appreciate the beauty of art. Mom set me up with her big beautiful easel and a blank canvas. Low and behold I produced my very first oil painting! I still have that canvas. Mom had to give up painting when she became ill. I continued to paint and would load up wet canvases, travel home and "talk art". Mom and Dad have both passed away.
