| Introduction | I am a self proclaimed baseball historian and 33-year-old student of the game. I've been studying baseball since my rookie season of 1987 and I have played the game at a college level. I still believe I could have been the starting first baseman for the Philadelphia Phillies if it weren't for a guy named Ryan Howard.
