Introduction At 52, happily married with two grown children and five grandkids, I'm still looking for something. I'm well aware that there is a greater connection to be made. This feeling of need is, no doubt, triggered by the absence of a father in my early years. This absence of my biologic dad created in me the need to experience what most kids took for granted, a father. What was one? How do you get one? Are they fun to have? You know the usual questions. I found some relief in the many deep friendships that I've developed since I was eleven by appropriating their dads as some kind of hybrid father to me. No doubt there was some sort of envy as I saw what real dads did with their real sons, but I was able to transcend those feelings with true affection towards my surrogate fathers. Still, I had a deep need to connect with my very own dad. That is what sparked a truly remarkable transformation in my very being. Simply, I found my true father. He is always with me and now I'm intensely in love with Him. I've found my true father. Because of Him, I learned how to be a father. Peace, James
